This year, Kim Lien commune has 10 young men who have volunteered to join the army, carrying enthusiasm and will to contribute. Nguyen Trung Son, a young man who has graduated from university, decided to temporarily put his career to fulfill his sacred duty to the Fatherland. As for Nguyen Huu Nguyen, despite his difficult family circumstances when his father is fighting a serious illness, he still firmly chose the military path.

“Performing military service is the responsibility and duty of every citizen. Standing in the army ranks to train yourself, become more mature and worthy of the tradition of Uncle Ho’s homeland”, Nguyen shared with a determined look.

At the Nam Dan District Military Command, the working atmosphere these days is extremely urgent. The district Military Service Council is preparing the final stages for the military enlistment ceremony, from reviewing the list of young people joining the army, ensuring no errors; checking the records and documents of new recruits and coordinating with localities to organize meetings and give gifts.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vo Van Long, Commander of the Nam Dan District Military Command, said: “In the past time, we have thoroughly implemented the spirit of openness, fairness, and compliance with the law in the selection work. The young people who meet the requirements are all excellent faces, with good health, qualifications and moral qualities.”

Thanks to the synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions, the quality of citizens joining the army this year is considered better than in previous years. The number of citizens who passed the military service type 1 and type 2 accounts for 85.7%, an increase of 15% compared to last year. In particular, the rate of young people who volunteered to join the army reached over 50%.

Nam Dan district also focuses on doing a good job in the army’s rear. Among the 20 cases of young people joining the army with difficult family circumstances, nine cases have received much attention and material and spiritual support from all levels, organizations, and local authorities, so all feel secure to go on duty./.
