Ms. Ha Thi Chung (weaver), Pom Coong residential group, Mai Chau town (Mai Chau) maintains the brocade weaving profession of the Thai ethnic group to attract tourists.

At midnight, when everyone is asleep, Ms. Ha Thi Ngoc, a member of the I Love Mai Chau Club, is busy washing rice, preparing food, cooking... Regardless of the cold winter weather or the wind and rain, this work has been maintained by her and the Club members every Tuesday since 2018. Up to now, the Club has given nearly 12,000 free meals and porridge to patients in the district and neighboring provinces treated at the District Medical Center with a total value of more than 180 million VND.

Mr. Ha Tuan Hai, Chairman of the I Love Mai Chau Club, shared: "In addition to giving free meals and porridge to patients, the Club also carries out many activities such as: "Warm Winter Xa Linh", "Charity Wardrobe", "Love Tet"... and supports households in difficult circumstances in the area with a total budget of over 400 million VND.

The entire amount was voluntarily contributed by club members and mobilized to call for support from benefactors nationwide. It can be said that the practical actions of the I Love Mai Chau Club have demonstrated profound humanitarian meaning in sharing with people in difficult and unfortunate circumstances, creating a spreading influence in the community, bringing love to everyone, every family to make life better and better.

Holding a cup of hot porridge in his hand, Mr. Luong Van Sang, Quan Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province, emotionally said: "For poor patients like us, when we come here for medical examination and treatment, the children at the Club care for us, give us porridge and milk for free, we feel very warm. I hope that society will have more and more kind hearts willing to share difficulties with the poor and disadvantaged people like the children here".

With the desire to get rich on their homeland, while preserving the local culture, since 1996, Mrs. Ha Thi Chung's family, Pom Coong residential group, Mai Chau town has invested in the homestay community tourism service business, becoming one of the typical examples for people to learn and follow. With enthusiasm, hospitality and the way of doing tourism combined with experiencing local culture, her family's homestay has become an attractive destination, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The family's total annual revenue reaches over 500 million VND, help create regular jobs for 5 workers with an average income of nearly 6 million VND/person/month.

Ms. Ha Thi Chung said "To create a good impression on tourists, I always research and learn how to do tourism so that tourists coming to Mai Chau, coming to my family, have interesting experiences and want to come back with relatives and friends. Therefore, in addition to welcoming guests with all my heart, I care about guiding visitors to visit and experience the unique cultural features of the locality, especially visitors are very excited when participating in building stilt houses, weaving brocade with the Thai ethnic people here".

Comrade Ha Van Quang, Vice Chairman of Mai Chau Town People's Committee said: Ms. Ha Thi Chung's family is a typical tourism household in the locality. Ms. Chung is always a role model in propagating and mobilizing relatives and people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively participating in charity and humanitarian work, being a bridge between tourism companies and the poor in the area in helping to build houses, purchase equipment, etc. With Her positive contributions to the community and her family have been repeatedly commended by authorities at all levels.”
