Hanoi’s district strives to plant 15,000 trees in 2025

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Hoai Duc District People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Truong said the event aims to effectively implement the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the district, contributing to the completion of Decision No. 524/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2021 of the Prime Minister on approving the project "Planting one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period" and Plan No. 84/KH-UBND dated March 15, 2022 of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee on tree planting and forest planting in the 2021-2025 period; and creating a competitive atmosphere for all levels, sectors and all people in the district to actively, proactively participate in the Tree Planting Festival in 2025.

He affirmed that tree planting is also a driving force to promote socio-economic development, ecological environment protection, climate change response, helping the district successfully complete the goals of the new rural development program for the 2021-2025 period.

Right after the launching ceremony, leaders of Hoai Duc district participated in planting trees at Quan Gia Temple in Yen So commune; visited and planted 12 souvenir trees at Tien Yen Primary School in Tien Yen commune.

In 2025, Hoai Duc district aims to plant 15,000 trees of all kinds, including 13,000 fruit trees, 2,000 trees for timber and shade.

On the same day, communes and towns of the district simultaneously participated in tree planting to respond to the Tree Planting Festival launched by the district./.
