The Border Guard Command of An Giang Province has recently held a ceremony to launch “Tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho” in 2025 at Vinh Gia Border Guard Station.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Tran Ngoc Chau, Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard, emphasized that recognizing the importance, significance and values of trees, in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command have regularly paid attention directing agencies and units to actively respond and effectively participate in green tree planting, care and protection activities as well communicate and educate officers, soldiers and people the benefits and effects of tree planting and afforestation, thereby well managing, caring for, protecting and developing the areas of planted trees.
Planted trees will focus on two main groups, including perennial tree and fruit tree, suitable with local ecological conditions. In 2025, the whole unit strives to plant 6,600 trees of all kinds, symbolizing the 66th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2025).
The activity aims to promote the fine tradition of "Tree Planting Festival" of the Vietnamese people, showing respect and eternal gratitude to beloved Uncle Ho; raising awareness among officers and soldiers of the role, effects and value of tree planting; creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere on the occasion of the early new year; encourage and motivate officers and soldiers of agencies and units to actively participate in planting, caring for, and protecting trees, building a green - clean - beautiful landscape and environment for the unit./.
