The Border Guard Command of the Mekong delta province of Kien Giang on February 11 inaugurated the “Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers” statue and launched the “Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho” in the spring of 2025.

The statue of Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers is built of solid, bronze-colored stone.
The statue is located in the premises of the Border Guard Command of Kien Giang province.
The Monument of Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers is built of solid, bronze-colored stone, measuring 1.87 m high, 0.8 m wide, 1.20 m long; the pedestal is 1.5x1.5 m wide, 2.09 m high, built of bricks, the outside and steps are paved with stone and the yard is paved with bricks. The total area of the campus is 779.66 square meters and the total cost is nearly 1 billion VND from the local budget.
After the inauguration ceremony of the statue of Uncle Ho, the unit launched the “Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho” in all border guard units in the province to plant trees in the barracks, rural traffic routes, along the border patrol routes, on forest land in the border area.
The command assigned the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units, in coordination with the Party Committees and local authorities, based on the actual situation of the agencies and units, to select areas for planting trees, tree varieties, and appropriate and scientific quantities of trees, bringing many practical benefits./.
