At the launching ceremony, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc, Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technology, said that in recent years, tree planting, afforestation, and organizing the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" of the General Department of Logistics and Technology have achieved good results, contributing to increasing forest coverage, actively responding to the program of planting one billion trees "For a green Vietnam" launched by Prime Minister in the period of 2021-2025 and building a "bright, green, clean, beautiful" environmental landscape for agencies and units.

Since 2021, the General Department of Logistics and Technology has planted over 1.3 million trees. In 2025, the General Department strives to plant 274,000 trees, of which 260,000 are timber and environmental trees and 14,000 are fruit trees.

In his speech, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh acknowledged and commended the achievements of the General Department of Logistics and Technology in the past time, including tree planting and afforestation.

He requested the General Department of Logistics and Technology to be exemplary and take the lead in responding to the Tree Planting Festival; improve the effectiveness of communications and education work to help each cadre, employee, soldier and worker clearly understands the importance of tree planting.

After planting trees, it is necessary to take care, ensuring that the trees have a high survival rate and grow well, he said and added that it is necessary to promptly encourage, commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in tree planting and afforestation.
