Speaking at the meeting, Major General Ho Van Thai, Political Commissar of Military Region 9, acknowledged and thanked the contributions of reporters and editors of news agencies and newspapers in orienting the ideology for the Armed Forces of Military Region 9, contributing to spreading the beautiful image and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new situation.

In 2024, the Party Committee and High Command of Military Region 9 regularly directed agencies, units and the Military Region Newspaper to proactively coordinate with central and local press agencies to promote communications and dissemination of the guidelines and policies of the Party and State. In addition, Military Region 9 proactively coordinated with news agencies and press to communicate, orient ideology, and educate revolutionary traditions for cadres, soldiers and people in the area through reporting activities marking important historical events.

The press has highlighted the results of military and defense work of the Military Region's armed forces; and reported the results of political tasks and Party building of agencies, units and armed forces of the Military Region in 2024.

At the meeting, Major General Ho Van Thai said that the effective coordination of press agencies has directly encouraged cadres and soldiers in all activities and contributed to orienting ideology, public opinion and strengthening people's trust in the Party, State, Army and armed forces of the Military Region. It also helps spread the good deeds and images of Uncle Ho's soldiers - the soldiers in the Western region to the local administration and people, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.

To improve the quality and effectiveness of communications cooperation work in the coming time, Major General Ho Van Thai requested the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units in the armed forces of the Military Region to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense on press and communications work; raise awareness of the position, role, importance and strengths of the press in communications work, orienting ideology and public opinion.

On this occasion, the Party Committee and High Command of the Military Region 9 presented certificates of merit to seven groups and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in communications coordination in 2024./.
