At the home of Vuong Thi Trinh in An Thuong Hamlet, Tran Phu Commune, the well where President Ho Chi Minh visited 60 years ago remains intact in its original location. A signboard with the inscription: "The well where President Ho Chi Minh visited, February 15, 1965," is neatly displayed nearby.
When President Ho Chi Minh visited, Trinh was a 22-year-old woman. Now, at 82 years old, despite her declining health and memory, she still recalls many vivid memories from that visit.
Trinh and her children and grandchildren take great pride in the well. Although the house has undergone many renovations, the well has remained untouched for 60 years. Inside the house, there are photographs documenting visits from the President of Vietnam and other high-ranking Party and State leaders, who have met and shared words with Trinh’s family.
The well is also a source of honor for the entire village. In tribute to the historic visit, the hamlet was named "The Hamlet Where President Ho Chi Minh Visited."
Honoring President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, the family has always maintained a clean and tidy home. The small house with its historic well is kept neat and organized, while the garden is well-maintained, with every plant and patch of grass carefully tended.
To this day, the words and values that President Ho Chi Minh left behind continue to be cherished and passed down through generations.
Nam Chinh Commune (now Tran Phu Commune) remains one of the leading localities in Nam Sach District in promoting environmental cleanliness, ensuring green, clean, and beautiful streets and alleys, honoring the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit, which was recognized for its exemplary sanitation efforts./.
