About 500 timber trees have been planted at the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival in 2025 in Cu Lao Cham in Tan Hiep island commune in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.

The tree planting is to implement the plan to clean up, plant flowers and trees to celebrate the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, welcome the New Year and celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
The activity is organized by the People's Committee of Tan Hiep commune, with the participation of agencies and units in the commune such as: Management Board of Cu Lao Cham Marine Protected Area, Joint Battalion 70, Cu Lao Cham Border Guard Station and Cu Lao Cham Forest Ranger Station.
The tree planting activity, especially native trees that are well adapted to the conditions in Cu Lao Cham, is organized regularly every year to increase the value of biodiversity while creating landscapes and linking with the long-standing traditional culture of the islanders.
In September 2024, 3,000 native timber trees were replanted in Cu Lao Cham./.
