The Military Youth Committee under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Political Department of Military Region 2 and Son La city of Son La province have jointly organized a ceremony to launch the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in 2025.

The launch ceremony was attended by leaders of Son La city, delegates from the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Military Region 2, the Military Command of Son La Province and hundreds of new-enlistees of Son La city.
Over the past years, implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, Son La city has always identified tree planting as an important task, closely attached to the process of building and comprehensive development of the city today and in the future.
Therefore, every spring, cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people of all ethnic groups in Son La city organize a tree planting and afforestation campaign, starting the annual tree planting movement.
Immediately after the launching ceremony on February 14, the delegates and new-enlistees directly planted nearly 200 timber trees at the technical training ground of the Military Command of Son La city.
Before the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival, the delegates and new-enlistees offered flowers and incense to Uncle Ho at the Tay Bac Square in Son La city and visited and offered incense at the Son La Prison Martyrs Cemetery./.
