Commando Corps respond to Tree Planting Festival in 2025

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Hoang Minh Son, Commander of the Commando Corps, affirmed that in response to President Ho Chi Minh's call, the annual Tree Planting Festival has become a movement, tradition, and good custom of Vietnam, spreading strongly in the community, with profound significance in protecting and developing the ecological environment and natural conservation.

In 2024, agencies, units and schools in the Corps planted more than 100,000 timber trees, shade trees, fruit trees, and nearly 500 hectares of forest, contributing to greening bare land and hills, make the landscape more beautiful. In 2025, agencies and units will strive to continue to green the existing land fund.

To promote the achieved results in recent years and effectively implement the tree planting and forestation plan in 2025 and the following years, Major General Hoang Minh Son suggested that the entire Corps continue to communicate, disseminate and educate to raise comprehensive awareness for officers, employees, soldiers and people of the profound meaning and great value of tree planting, contributing to creating green lungs, minimizing the impact of climate change, and improving the quality of life.

Along with that, agencies, units and schools in the entire Corps need to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Directive of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of National Defense on organizing the Tree Planting Festival.

Right after the launching ceremony, officers, students and soldiers of the Commando Corps planted hundreds of trees of all kinds./.
