The exhibition features 200 photographs and documents divided into three themes. The first theme, "The Life and Career of President Ho Chi Minh," includes 55 documentary photos providing a brief overview of his homeland, family, childhood, and key milestones in his revolutionary career.
The second theme, "President Ho Chi Minh and Hai Duong – Hai Duong and President Ho Chi Minh," consists of 60 documentary photos covering his five visits to Hai Duong, where he met with the local Party Committee, government, and people. This section prominently highlights his visit to Con Son on February 15, 1965, along with images and documents reflecting his care and affection for the people of Hai Duong, as well as the deep respect and gratitude of Hai Duong's officials, Party members, and citizens toward him.
The third theme, "Hai Duong Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Teachings," presents around 50 documentary photos showcasing the province’s significant economic, cultural, and social achievements during the 2020-2025 period. It also highlights exemplary individuals who have excelled in studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of President Ho Chi Minh.
According to Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Director of the Hai Duong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the exhibition aims to introduce locals and visitors to the profound affection and historical moments of President Ho Chi Minh’s visits to Hai Duong and Con Son 60 years ago. Additionally, it serves to promote the cultural and historical value of the Con Son relic site as Hai Duong, along with other provinces, seeks UNESCO recognition for the "Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac" complex as a World Heritage Site.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh visited Hai Duong five times: on October 21, 1946; May 31, 1957; April 1, 1959; July 26, 1962; and for the last time on February 15, 1965. During his fifth visit, he stopped at Hong Thai Commune (Ninh Giang), a leading locality in irrigation efforts across northern Vietnam. At noon, he visited Nam Chinh Commune (Nam Sach), known for having the best sanitation movement in the province. In the afternoon, he traveled to Con Son (Chi Linh).
The exhibition "Hai Duong in the Footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh" is open to the public and visitors until February 20./.
