In Luong Hoa Lac and Song Binh communes , Cho Gao district, there is a model of "Exchanging plastic waste for gifts" organized in the women union in the communes. Once a month, after being informed about the model of "Exchanging plastic waste for gifts", people in the communes bring plastic waste to the People's Committees of the communes to exchange for gifts, with the form that for every 2 kg of plastic waste, people will be exchanged for 1 bottle of fish sauce or 1 tube of shampoo, or 1 bar of soap, along with essential items for families such as plastic boxes, shopping baskets, toilet paper, etc. Depending on the needs of the family, people can choose the necessary gifts.
Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Luong Hoa Lac Commune, Nguyen Thi Thuy Van, said: “When implementing the model of “Exchanging plastic waste for gifts” in the branches, the Women's Union and the people of the commune enthusiastically responded.
