The landscape of Con Son, which was once a sacred ancestral land, is now even more beautiful and majestic, becoming a famous national and international scenic spot. Con Son - Kiep Bac has been ranked as a special national monument; the traditional Con Son - Kiep Bac festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2012.
Sixty years ago, on February 15, 1965, Hai Duong was honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit. This was the fifth time he returned to Hai Duong and left many deep feelings and strong impressions in the hearts of Hai Duong people.
During this visit, Uncle Ho visited Con Son Pagoda. The image of Uncle Ho reading the stele at Con Son Pagoda has become a sacred memory in the hearts of the people, a beautiful symbol of the spirit of cherishing the cultural values and fine traditions of the nation.
After that, Uncle Ho and the group continued to Con Son mountain to visit Thanh Hu cave and stopped at Thach Ban - where Nguyen Trai often sat reading books, writing poems and pondering about the fate of the country and the people.
After the opening drum beat, delegates, people and tourists respectfully offered incense to commemorate the 691st anniversary of the passing of the Third Patriarch of the Truc Lam Zen sect, Venerable Huyen Quang./.
