Secretary of Cho Moi District Party Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Kieu, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairwoman of Cho Moi District People's Council Huynh Thi Nguyet Hong; Chairman of the District People's Committee Cu Minh Trong and more than 150 delegates attended the event.

Since 2021, the entire Cho Moi district has planted 117,700 trees. Landslides occur frequently, and up to now, the district has 150 landslide sections that need to be reinforced and repaired, with a total length of 6,893m and a cost of about 158.6 billion VND. Therefore, tree planting is very meaningful, especially in the context of climate change, extreme weather, storms, floods, landslides, etc.

After the launching ceremony, delegates planted 2,500 trees on the 500m dike at Don Dong open culvert, south bank of Quan Ben canal in Long Thuan 2 hamlet, Long Dien A commune.

All communes and towns in the district will organize tree planting and care activities for dikes and main roads, mobilize collectives, individuals and the masses to participate in tree planting to create landscapes and protect the slopes of dikes and roads, especially for sections and routes with landslides, suitable to the actual conditions of the locality, ensuring practical effectiveness and regular maintenance and care of planted trees./.
