In recent times, officers and soldiers of the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Department have concretized Uncle Ho's teachings into performing professional tasks; effectively building and implementing programs to prevent and combat crimes; prevent and combat drugs; prevent and combat human trafficking. The unit has closely coordinated with functional agencies to strengthen propaganda on the fight against drug crimes; advised the Provincial People's Committee to deploy Project 5017 "Resolving the complicated situation of crime and drug abuse in border communes of Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2021-2025".
Over the past 5 years, the unit has detected, investigated, arrested and handled 654 cases/839 criminals and law violators, of which 31 special projects and 140 professional plans have been established.
Thanh Hoa is a province with both sea and land borders. Especially on the land border with a length of more than 213km, the crime situation is quite complicated, of which the hottest is drug trafficking and transportation crimes. This is an extremely dangerous type of crime with very sophisticated, cunning, reckless and reckless methods and tricks of operation.
Although we know that the fight against drug crimes of the Border Guard in the coming time will still be difficult. But with the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the officers and soldiers of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department in particular, and the provincial Border Guard force in general, always thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the resolutions and directives of the superiors, focus on directing the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of professional measures, focus on promoting the fight against special projects, implementing professional plans, thematic plans, fighting and destroying large-scale, transnational drug crime rings.
In addition, strengthen international cooperation and closely coordinate with relevant functional forces in the fight against drug crimes; especially coordinate information exchange, investigate, detect, fight and destroy complicated security and order rings and hotspots in key areas on the border, determined to firmly protect territorial sovereignty, maintain peace at the border, build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border./.
