On February 8, Minister, Chairman of the Government Committee on Ethnic Affairs, Secretary of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh led a delegation to attend the Flag-raising ceremony at Lung Cu National Flagpole and launch the Tree-planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district.

Under the red flag with a yellow star fluttering on Lung Cu peak - the northernmost point of the country, Secretary Hau A Lenh and the delegates sang the National Anthem, expressing national pride and affirming the sacred sovereignty of the country.
Lung Cu National Flag Tower is a landmark marking the northernmost point, an immortal symbol of patriotism, steadfast will and aspiration to rise of the Vietnamese people.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Secretary of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh launched the Tree Planting Festival in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district. The district has so far planted nearly 200 native sa moc and pear trees, contributing to environmental protection, developing the forest economy, and preserving the natural beauty of the rocky land. This activity also contributes to affirming the responsibility of today's generation in protecting nature and the sustainable development of the homeland and the country.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh and the delegation visited and presented gifts to Lung Cu Border Guard Station, praising the efforts of officers and soldiers in protecting border sovereignty, maintaining security and order, and taking care of the people during Tet./.
