As many as 350 outstanding individuals of “Uncle Ho’s good children” in Ho Chi Minh City were honoured by the City’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the City Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, during a program on November 7.

The program took place with many meaningful activities, including incense offering and reported of achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, visiting and interacting at the Traditional House of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization in Ho Chi Minh City and space of Uncle Ho with children, and a ceremony to commemorate the frontline forces who sacrificed and people who died due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, congratulated the outstanding examples of "Uncle Ho's good children" in 2021.
He confirmed that the city always cares for and creates the best conditions for the young generation to learn and develop.
He also sent his condolences to nearly 2,000 children of the city who unfortunately lost their relatives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “The city will mobilize diverse resources and implement effective programs to take care of unfortunate children,” he said.
In order to promptly take care of and help children infected with COVID-19 or whose relatives are infected with COVID-19, the children of the frontline medical forces fighting the pandemic, and the children of workers in difficult circumstances, at the program, the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union awarded scholarships to 45 members and students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic of VND2 million each person each month until they turn 18 years old./.
