Prime Minister commemorates Uncle Ho during France visit

Montreuil City Mayor Patrice Bessac, together with leaders of the French Communist Party and the Council of the Seine-Saint-Denis Region, representatives from some friendship associations and some French scholars, welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation.

Montreuil City Mayor Patrice Bessac, said that over the years, Montreuil City has been honored and proud to be the place to honor President Ho Chi Minh, a symbol of the struggle against imperialism and colonialism, and a brilliant cultural activist.

Reviewing the history of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Montreuil City and the Vietnamese people over the years, Mayor Patrice Bessac affirmed that Montrueil City has always been the home of Vietnamese friends.

“In the past, Montreuil City has always strongly supported the struggle of President Ho Chi Minh and of the Vietnamese people," said the mayor.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked Montreuil City authority and French friends for the good sentiments they have shown the country and the people of Vietnam over the years, affirming that Montreuil City, where President Ho Chi Minh Statue is located, always a place dear and close to the people of Vietnam.

He also expressed his happiness when Uncle Ho Statue and Ho Chi Minh City Space at Montreuil City is more and more beautiful. “This is thanks to the special affection that Montreuil City leaders sent to the Vietnamese country and people, as well as for the great President Ho Chi Minh, a national liberation hero and a world cultural celebrity,” he said.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation visited Ho Chi Minh's space located in the Living History Museum of Montreuil City, which keeps important memorabilia from the years of Uncle Ho's revolutionary activities in France at the beginning of the 20th century, especially the room that recreates Uncle Ho's boarding house at the house at No. 9 Compoint Alley in Paris./.
