Oil and gas workers boost production following Uncle Ho’s teachings

Vietnam’s drilling rigs are located on the continental shelf of Vietnam, hundreds of kilometers away from the mainland, where many officers, engineers and workers of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group face many difficulties day and night to complete their work. In all circumstances, Uncle Ho's teachings have been applied by workers to each specific job, thereby turning into strength to overcome challenges.

In Hai Thach Moc Tinh, the cluster of oil and gas rigs with particularly complex geological conditions, the farthest offshore of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, over the years, the leader of the rigs, Nguyen Thanh Tinh, has always been at the forefront of difficult tasks, promoting his initiative in production, and operating the rigs.

Under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh, the youngest leader of the oil and gas rigs in the East Sea, the collective of workers has maintained achievements in paying at least USD1 million per day to the State budget, and maintaining production with not a single day of interruption.

In recent years, the oil and gas industry has faced both objective and subjective difficulties. Each individual or collective the Bien Dong Petroleum Operating Company always keeps Uncle Ho’s teachings in mind that unity is strength, the key to success. Their proud achievement recently is more than 3,200 safe working days, gaining total accumulated revenue of nearly USD4 billion.

Studying and following Uncle Ho to realize his wish, the oil rigs and workers of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group not only bring back black gold to enrich the country, but also become the custodians at sea./.
