On June 11, the Industry and Trade Newspaper organized a seminar on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style for the industry and trade sector and Vietnam’s revolutionary press to mark the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024).

At the event, Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Newspaper Nguyen Van Minh said that on June 10, 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade agreed to take October 2, 1945 as the traditional day of Industry and Trade Newspaper. The origin of this event started from Uncle Ho's affection for the Ministry of Industry and Trade in general and the Industry and Trade press in particular.
According to Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh, October 2, 1945, the day Minister of National Economy Nguyen Manh Ha in the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam signed Decree 8-BKT/VP on organization apparatus of the Ministry of National Economy, in which, in Article 4 of the Decree on Affairs departments, there is a third department, the Economics Department, which is responsible for publishing the Vietnam Economic Review. On that basis, October 2 was chosen as the founding day and also the traditional day of the Industry and Trade Newspaper.
At the event, Prof. Dr. Hoang Chi Bao, senior expert, former member of the Central Theoretical Council gave a talk about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Chi Bao also shared stories about President Ho Chi Minh when he worked as a journalist.
