A contest to make propaganda posters was launched on February 24 by the Department of Grassroots Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark 75 years since President Ho Chi Minh issued a Call for Patriotic Emulation on June 11, 1948.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, said that the contest aims to widely communicate the meaning of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation movement among the entire Party, the people, and the army and its role today. It affirms the value and creative application of Ho Chi Minh's thought on patriotic emulation through each period of the Vietnamese revolution, he said, adding that this will consolidate and foster the people's trust in the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies.
Contestants can be professional and non-professional painters, Vietnamese citizens and overseas Vietnamese. Contest entries need to communicate and promote patriotic emulation movements; and honor the typical image of Hero of Labor, Hero of People's Armed Forces, and Emulation Fighter.
Entries should be sent to the Organizing Board at the email address: phongttcd.vhes@gmail.com; sent directly or by post to: Office of Management of Advertising and Communications under Department of Grassroots Culture at No. 86A, Le Van Huu 3 Street, Pham Dinh Ho Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
The deadline to receive entries for the contest is April 7, 2023. The award ceremony is planned to be held in June 2023.
The Organizing Board will present 17 prizes, including one first prize worth 15 million VND./.
