On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Youth Union launched the “Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho”, demonstrating the responsibility of youth union members and young people in preserving the landscape and improving air quality, joining hands for a green, clean and beautiful city in the new year.

The program took place at the New Eastern Bus Terminus Station, the area along the road connecting the New Eastern Bus Terminus Station and Suoi Tien Metro Station in Long Binh Ward, Thu Duc City, HCMC.
At the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the HCMC Youth Union presented Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation - One Member Co., Ltd. with 100 timber trees to green the New Eastern Bus Terminus Station.
Right after the launching ceremony, leaders, delegates, youth union members and young people participated in planting 100 trees. In addition, the Youth Union of Saigon Transport Mechanical Corporation - One Member Co., Ltd. also presented the Management Board of the New Eastern Bus Terminus Station with 200 yellow apricot trees to plant in the premises of the station.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa, Head of the Department of Popularization and External Relations of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, emphasized the significance of tree planting in Thu Duc city, where there are many symbolic works of HCMC.
According to him, tree planting at the New Eastern Bus Terminus Station not only contributes to increasing green space, creating shade, improving air quality but also bringing fresh air to passengers traveling between HCMC and the provinces./.
