At the event, delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and shared memories and spiritual feelings about him.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Tran Duc Binh highlighted the revolutionary activities of Uncle Ho, the genius leader of the people of Vietnam, the hero of national liberation, the world cultural celebrity honoured by UNESCO.

On behalf of the delegates, Mr. Umeda Shoji, Head of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Osaka, highly appreciated the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to Vietnam's cause of national liberation and the national independence movements of the world in the 20 ^th  century.

In particular, Prof. Tomita Kenji, former Head of the faculty of Vietnamese, Osaka University, shared the impressions and feelings of the Japanese people for Vietnamese people, as well as the respect for President Ho Chi Minh as seen through the pro-Vietnam movement in Japan during the war.

He said that for the people of Japan, President Ho Chi Minh was not only known as the leader of the people of Vietnam to win in the war of resistance, but also a cultural celebrity with many famous works in the world.

Ms. Le Phuong Quynh, Deputy Head of Kobe Viet Student Association, shared a story about Uncle Ho's experience in learning foreign language during the period of revolutionary activities. This is a very valuable experience for Vietnamese students studying in Japan to follow.

Japanese friends and the Vietnamese community enjoyed songs praising Uncle Ho, performed by Vietnamese Student and Youth Associations of Osaka and Kyoto./.
