President Ho Chi Minh’s 127th birthday marked in Netherlands

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa expressed her respect and commemorated the beloved leader of the people of Vietnam. She affirmed the thought, morality, personality and teachings of President Ho Chi Minh is the light to enlighten the way for the people of Vietnam. For overseas Vietnamese, Uncle Ho’s teachings still remain significant and bring value at all times.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy presented certificates of merit to 17 excellent students in youth and student work in the Netherlands in 2016-2017. The Ambassador believed that there will be more overseas Vietnamese and student symbols, who have many outstanding achievements, contributing to the community and the homeland as well as, to mark the 127th birthday of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

At the event, the embassy introduced a documentary film about the life and career of Uncle Ho, offering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the headquarters of the Embassy.

Before the Uncle Ho, Ambassador Hoa promised that she would try her best, overcome all difficulties to fulfil the task entrusted her by the Party and State, contributing to building the country of Vietnam more beautifully and properly.

Representatives of Vietnamese students in the Netherlands promised to strive to study and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings.

The ceremony to mark President Ho Chi Minh's birthday is not only a traditional activity of the Vietnamese Embassy, but it is also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese people and students to exchange community activities./.
