Vietnam purchases copyrights of documentaries about Uncle Ho

 

“Ho Chi Minh in the country of Lenin” (black & white picture, duration: 30 mins 20 sec) was produced by the Central Studio for Documentary Film of Russia in 1976.
“Ho Chi Minh in the country of Lenin” (black & white picture, duration: 30 mins 20 sec) was produced by the Central Studio for Documentary Film of Russia in 1976.

The film showcases Ho Chi Minh’s activities in the process of establishing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and developing the friendship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, and Uncle Ho’s sentiment towards children of the Soviet Union.

The film “Ho Chi Minh in the country of Lenin” is preserved  at the Russian National Film Archive Institute.

Besides, the film titled “Vietnam: 30 days in Saigon” is directed by Jean-Pierre Moscardo and is preserved in France’s National Institute of Film.

It lasts 60 mins 44 sec and was produced in 1975. The film depicted the last days of the Vietnam war and Saigon in early days under the leadership of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam.

The two films are hoped to help audiences, especially the youth, better understand President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary cause; the deep relations between Vietnam and Russia and the magnanimous anti-American resistance war of our country./.
