Writing Contest on Glorious Party and Great Uncle Ho

On February 13, the People’s Army Newspaper held a press meeting to introduce the journalism contest about the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho with the theme of “Steadfast Steps under the Party Flag”.

The contest was launched and directed by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnamese People’s Army.

In his speech at the event, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper said that the contest aims to widely popularize cadres, party members, soldiers and people of all walks of life about the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; affirming the position, role, prestige, leadership capacity, governance and fighting strength of the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association highly appreciated the organization of this contest and expressed his belief that the contest will be a great success. The Vietnam Journalists Association will provide guidance to all levels of the association and its members to participate in this contest.

The contest aims to arouse and foster the trust and pride of cadres, soldiers and people in the Party and State; strengthen the strength of national solidarity, create social consensus on the Party’s guidelines and policies, and the State’s policies and laws.

The works are on the following topics: The glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the Party's brilliant milestones over 95 years of founding, construction and development; great achievements with historical significance of the Vietnamese nation and revolution under the leadership of the Party, especially the great achievements after nearly 40 years of implementing the country's innovation.

The works sent to the contest must belong to one of the following press genres: Political commentary, typical examples of "good people - good deeds", reflection articles, reports, notes, press photos and multimedia works./.
