Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee Ta Anh Tuan called on all departments, agencies, localities and people around the province to enthusiastically plant trees.

The Chairman asked the units and localities to focus on strengthening the management of the quality of plant varieties and select suitable trees as well as raise public awareness of protecting and developing forests and preventing and fighting against forest fires.

He also emphasized the importance of the scientific and technological application into sustainable forest development.

The tree planting festival aims to respond to the movement of planting 1 billion trees for the 2021-2025 period launched by the Prime Minister as well as continue to implement the project of planting 15 million green trees during 2021-2025 period in the province./.
