A ceremony was organized to launch the "Tree planting festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" in the mountainous district of Vu Quang of Ha Tinh province on January 26.

At the launching ceremony, Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung, together with leaders of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province, departments, sectors, functional forces, Vu Quang district, and local people, participated in planting 100 mango trees on Cu Huy Can Street in Vu Quang town.
In the early spring of the New Year, Vu Quang district will simultaneously deploy to plant over 300,000 trees, including over 3,000 shading trees, the rest being mainly trees for material wood.
On this occasion, leaders of Ha Tinh province, departments, agencies and local authorities and people also released 3 tons of freshwater fish into Ngan Troi reservoir in Vu Quang district.
Fish releasing aims to communicate to all classes of people to raise their awareness and responsibility in the protection, regeneration and development of aquatic resources; and join hands to protect the ecological environment and protect biodiversity, contributing to the sustainable development of fisheries and avoiding fishing by extermination./.
