The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (OV) Affairs.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Tran Ngoc Phu, an overseas Vietnamese from France, said “We are very proud to remember the historical days of the country, especially to visit places that bore Uncle Ho's imprint, helping the country have the independence and unity it has today."
Ms. Dinh Thi Phuong Thao, Deputy Chairwoman of the HCMC Committee for OV Affairs, said that the event is a meaningful activity to help overseas Vietnamese understand more about the nation's historical traditions, especially the career of finding the way to save the country by President Ho Chi Minh. When listening to the guide's explanation, many overseas Vietnamese were very touched and proud of Uncle Ho's imprint in many countries around the world, where they live, study and work, and where there are also memorial steles memorializing Uncle Ho's mark, she added.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always gave special attention to overseas Vietnamese. Although they are living far away from their country, they are the children of the Dragon and the Fairy. No matter how far away, where, what to do, how difficult or arduous, overseas Vietnamese always look to the homeland, contributing to the construction of the homeland./.
