A contest named “Uncle Ho in My Heart” has recently been launched by the Vietnamese Youth Union in Saint Petersburg, as part of the activities to mark the 131st birthday of the great leader of Vietnam (May 19).

The contest is an opportunity for students to learn about the life and cause of Uncle Ho and express their love and respect for him, while encouraging them to study and follow his teachings.
According to the organisers, the contest is opening to not only youth union members, students, graduate students and children of the Vietnamese community living and studying throughout the Russian Federation, but also Russian students at schools in Saint Petersburg.
It consists of three contents: scientific research on President Ho Chi Minh’s life, thought, and career; literature (poetry, literature, story-telling) about Uncle Ho; art: painting, dancing, singing and honouring the late leader.
Contestants can write in Vietnamese or Russian language and send their entries to email: bantochuc.svlen@gmail.com.
The contest doesn’t limit the number of entries from each participant or group of participants an it will receive entries until May 18./.
