The program aimed to pay tribute to the contributions made by the old industry and trade people and the current entrepreneurs in economic development. It was also a chance for businesspeople to hold dialogue with policy makers and economic experts.
Addressing the program, Phung Quoc Hien, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, stressed that the value of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on businesses and entrepreneurs written in the letter remained original over the past 75 years. He noted that Prime Minister’s decision to choose October 13 to be the Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day confirmed the role and responsibility of entrepreneurs over economic development, contributing to bringing Vietnam to integrate into the global economy.
Over the past years, especially during the renewal process and the years of national industrialization and modernization as well as international integration, the industry and trade circle - entrepreneurs - have taken President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and morality as a guideline for development. Together with the wise leadership of the Party and State, the Vietnamese entrepreneurs have gained great achievements.
During the program, the organizers presented outstanding entrepreneurs the printed version of Uncle Ho’s letter to the industry and trade circle, in order to encourage them to make continuous efforts to boost national development./.
