The event was attended by Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Duy Tan, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs; and more than 100 delegates who are officials and civil servants, typical examples in the patriotic emulation movement of the city in the 2014 – 2022 period.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, the members of the delegation were moved to express their respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and vowed to forever follow the path which the Party, Uncle Ho and Vietnamese people chose.

They promised to continue to study and follow his ideology, morality and style with practical and concrete actions to gradually improve themselves; continuously study and improve knowledge, always be proactive, creative, dare to think, and dare to do for the common good.

On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan reported to Uncle Ho the outstanding achievements. Specifically, since 2014, the city has selected and honored 618 typical examples, including 130 collectives and 488 individuals. 

Mr. Pham Minh Tuan said that the typical examples are role models who silently contributed to society with compassionate and meaningful deeds, shining in all fields, contributing to building HCM City with an increasing quality of life, civilization - modernity - gratitude.

Earlier, the delegation visited the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam. The delegation plans to visit Uncle Ho’s hometown in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province./.
