A ceremony was organized by the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Army Radio and Television Center in Hanoi on December 21 to launch the national video/clip contest on beloved soldier and the national writing contest on stories about soldiers.

The contest was launched on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defense Festival.
Contest entries focus on the beauty and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers throughout the history of formation and development of the Vietnam People's Army; typical traditions of the army and typical forces, units, and individuals of the army, both in war and peacetime; honoring, praising and encouraging exemplary and advanced collectives and individuals of the entire army; vividly reflecting activities of officers and soldiers in training, fighting readiness, fighting, studying and working.

The contest will receive entries from January 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024./.
