The communal Party Committee disseminated and creatively applied Directive 05 in combination with Resolution of the 12th PCC’s fourth meeting in Party building and rectification in accordance with the reality of the locality. On that basis, it launched the emulation movement to Party members and people of all classes with many typical teams and individuals donating land to build cultural houses and rural roads.
Trusted and elected as Head of the Tan Thai village, since 2015, Mr. Nong Tien Long always raises his responsibility with work and wholeheartedly serve people. Implementing Resolution 15 of the Tuyen Quang provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, he actively popularized and mobilized relatives in the commune to contribute strength and money to building rural roads.
He and some members of the mobilization team visited each house to explain and convince people to understand and prioritize the common interest. In order to ensure democracy and objectivity, the village organized meetings to collect ideas and agree on the level of contribution.
As a result, in early 2017, villagers voluntarily contributed VND11 million, nearly 200 working days and poured concrete on 1,065 meters of road in the tea production area. Next year, the remaining of 2,000 meters will be continued. People also introduced new tea varieties in production to replace 40.13 hectares of old, low-productivity and low-quality tea varieties.
Ms. Luong Thi Nhu in Ca village has donated more than 700 square meters of garden and rice-field land for the building of cultural house, the construction of roads in the field. She expressed: “In recent years, my family has been supported by the State. Now, the village and commune need land for the construction to develop production, I realized I should take responsibility in building the homeland.” The cultural house in the Ca village has been completed and put into use with a total expense of VND300 million, in which VND100 million was contributed by villagers.
Not only setting an example in performing tasks and donating land to build rural houses, Party members and people in Minh Thanh commune also make efforts to do business. Ma Van Chien in Co village is an example. In previous years, his family’s economy was poor. But, he and his family have tried to change their fate by transferring nearly five hectares of cassava cultivation to planting forest and raising cows. After more than six years, Chien built a spacious and well-maintained house.
Mr. Ma Trieu Phu, Secretary of the Minh Thanh communal Party Committee, affirmed there is no better combination than association of studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings with building new-style rural areas. In the coming time, with specific plans, each Party member and local person will grasp thoroughly the studying and following of the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh; significantly contributing to boosting local socio-economic development, especially the completion of criteria for building new-style rural areas./.
