On March 9, the torch-lighting group of Hanoi City Department of Education and Training respectfully offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi.

Attending were comrade Tran The Cuong, member of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; leaders of Hanoi Department of Education and Training; and delegates representing the authorities and 10 outstanding athletes representing high school students of Hanoi Capital.
Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegates promised Uncle Ho to continue studying and following his thoughts, ethics and style, actively disseminate the benefit and the role of improving high-school students’ health, contributing to training people for comprehensive development; further promote the campaign "All people exercise their bodies following the example of the great Uncle Ho"; preserve and develop national and traditional sports, build a civilized and heroic capital, a city for peace, standing shoulder to shoulder with the capitals of regional and international countries.
After visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the delegation held a torch-lighting ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Museum. The sacred fire of wisdom, pure morality, and immense love from the President will light the torch at the 10th Phu Dong Health Festival in Hanoi 2024. The flame is a source of encouragement and giving more strength for sports talents of high school students, in order to foster and train sports talents on the national, regional and international arenas.
The flame will be kept, ready for the opening day of the 10th Phu Dong Health Festival in Hanoi, taking place on March 15, 2024./.
