The Department of Grassroots Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued the Rules of the Contest for creating works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Unification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Works are theater scripts of tuong, cheo, cai luong, folk plays, spoken plays, which praise the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, his life and his revolutionary career.
The works express the deep respect and gratitude of the Vietnamese people, and the love and respect of people around the world for President Ho Chi Minh.
At the same time, the works affirm the lasting vitality, great value and meaning of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style; praising the historical value of the struggle for national liberation, liberation of the South, national unification, and achievements of national construction and development.
The contest is open to professional and non-professional Vietnamese authors in the country and overseas Vietnamese, with no restrictions on age or occupation.
Contest scripts must be new creations, have not participated in any other competitions, and have not been disseminated in any form; right topic. The script must have a plot and characters associated with the situation and content in the script. Duration is 30 - 35 minutes when staging a performance.

Script submissions must be sent before August 10, 2024. It is expected that the contest's closing and awarding ceremony will take place in October 2024. The Organizing Committee will award 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes to authors with excellent works; 1 movement award for a movement unit with many participating authors who have many good quality works./.
