The Quang Nam provincial People's Committee launched "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho” at Cam Mountain area, Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city, on February 4.

In his speech at the event, Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee called on all people, the entire army, all levels, sectors, localities and all people to join hands in planting more trees, planting forest planting in early spring.
He also requested to raise awareness and take effective measures to protect forests, prevent illegal logging, forest burning, and forest exploitation; increase investment, apply science and technology to create support mechanisms and encourage sustainable forest economic development, contributing to increasing forest coverage to 61% by the end of 2030.
At the launching ceremony, delegates, students and local people planted 1,000 pine trees on an area of 0.5 hectares in the Cam Mountain area, creating more green landscape in the Martyrs’ Cemetery of the province./.
