The People’s Committee of Chu Se district in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai launched the Tree Planting Festival, themed “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho”, on February 3.
The event was attended by leaders of the district Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of agencies, departments, branches, and mass organizations; leaders of communes, towns, armed forces of the district and representatives of teachers and students of some schools in Chu Se town.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Chu Se People’s Committee Tran Minh Trieu emphasized the benefits and importance of the Tree Planting Festival while requesting relevant levels and branches to continue to popularize the great effects of planting trees and afforestation according to Uncle Ho’s teachings.
After the launch ceremony, delegates planted 59 green star trees along Truong Chinh Street (Chu Se Town). Along with that, all units, communes and towns simultaneously responded to planting trees in their premises.
This is an activity organized by Chu Se district every year in early spring, contributing to creating urban landscapes and preserving a fresh and green-clean-beautiful living environment./.
