The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications and the City People's Committee has just issued a plan on organizing activities to celebrate the 132th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19) and the 111th year since Uncle Ho left the country to find a way to save the nation (June 5).
Accordingly, many precious books, pictures and documents about the great Vietnamese leader will be displayed at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street in Nguyen Van Binh Street, District 1.
The exhibition will include books, documents and pictures about President Ho Chi Minh's 30-year journey to find a way to save the country, depicting his life and revolutionary career.
The bookcase on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style", and his visit to the French Republic (1946) through archives of individuals and the French Archives Center are also introduced to readers on this anniversary.
In particular, on this occasion, the organizing committee will cooperate with relevant agencies to collect documents and images about Uncle Ho; and exploit manuscripts to make publications about him.
A series of activities are carried out in order to disseminate widely the historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions of the nation; dynamic and creative spirit of the city named after Uncle Ho through publications and activities of introducing books, exchanging authors and works.
Besides, the exhibition also aims to teach patriotism, and the spirit of great national unity; and create conditions for the development of the Ho Chi Minh cultural space./.
