A memorial dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh on Co To Island in Co To district, the northern province of Quang Ninh has just received its certificate as a special national relic site.

The President Ho Chi Minh memorial site belongs to the type of famous monuments, including monuments, grounds, steles, temples, galleries, souvenirs, potato fields and salt fields.
On May 9, 1961, President Ho Chi Minh visited the island, the only destination where he allowed a statue of himself to be erected during his lifetime. The memorial was built in 1968, recognised as a national relic site in 1997, and received its latest accreditation in mid-January this year.
Right after the event, Co To district held the opening ceremony of Co To Tourism Year 2022.
In 2022, the district strives to attract 200,000 visitors. In the coming time, the district will organize many activities and events, such as: the Co To Marathon, food festival, and Co To culture and tourism week, in parallel with tourism stimulus and promotion activities./.
