During the ceremony, Huynh Tan Viet, Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Phu Yen provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, delivered a speech reviewing Uncle Ho’s career for national liberation, independence and freedom, affirming that the great value President Ho Chi Minh left for the nation was permanent.

Over the past years, Phu Yen province has carried out many models in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example, including organising a national flag salute ceremony each Monday, adding some contents of the campaign on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example into the official educational curriculum; and teaching lifestyles for young people based on President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example.

In particular, a model in which agencies assist poor villages and cadres, and Party members and officials assist poor families, has helped 19 extremely disadvantaged mountainous communes, 16 extremely disadvantaged coastal communes and 27 poor communes have access to assistance, with thousands of poor families escaping poverty thanks to the model.

Huynh Tan Viet called on cadres, Party members and people across the province to continue to increase the implementation of the campaign on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example.

On the occasion of the 126 ^th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, diverse cultural and artistic activities praising the Party and great Uncle Ho, as well as looking towards the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Council term 2016-2021, have been held in Phu Yen province./.
