The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien – Hue on May 18 th organised a ceremony to receive documents and exhibits relating to President Ho Chi Minh from individuals to mark the 126 th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19 th ).
During the ceremony, 8 individuals presented nearly 60 documents and exhibits regarding the cultural and social life in the late 19 th and early 20 th centuries, when Uncle Ho and his family lived in Thua Thien – Hue province.
The precious exhibits include the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh in lacquer; a glorious soldier medal signed by President Ho Chi Minh, granted to Mr. Phan Quang Lo; a special issue published in 1970 which consists of memoirs written by Le Thanh Canh, a classmate of Uncle Ho, about the time that Uncle Ho studied in the Hue National School between 1906 and 1911; stamps with the image of President Ho Chi Minh; and utensils used in daily family life in late 19 th and early 20 th century.
The precious exhibits will be used to organise an exhibition about President Ho Chi Minh in the future.
The documents and exhibits collected mark the contribution from individuals to the museum, show the affection and respect of people in Thua Thien – Hue province towards beloved Uncle Ho, and diversify the material resources about the great leader of the country./.
