Mr. Khanh is a student of class 12C2, a history specialized class of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Many students choose to major in history as their second choice, but for Khanh, this is his passion and absolutely the right decision. 3 years ago, Khanh ranked second in the entrance exam to the high school. This was a quite rare result that few male students achieve.

Talking about his love for history, Khanh said that it partly comes from family tradition. Because, in his family, his grandfather, grandmother, and mother are all history teachers. His maternal grandparents are veterans, so since he was little, he often heard his grandparents tell stories about their years in the army and participating in the resistance war.

The contest "Youth study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and life style" can be considered a traditional contest of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. This is also one of the few schools that organizes this competition systematically in the school competition round to select potential students for support and training. This year, the school round was held at the beginning of the year and Ngo Sy Quoc Khanh was one of the students with the best results.

Having a "good start", Khanh still said that becoming the best student in Nghe An to participate in the national final round is not easy. Because, in addition to the school-level competition round, weekly rounds, and semi-final rounds, the entire Nghe An province has more than 100,000 students participating (ranked 2nd nationwide). Meanwhile, each province has only one candidate selected.

Accompanying Khanh and the members of the Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted Team to participate in this year's competition, teacher Le Kim Long - Citizen Education teacher, said that what impressed her most about Khanh was his enthusiasm, will and desire. Khanh came to the competition seriously, completing all the requirements set by the teacher.

Two years of pursuing the contest, the biggest thing is that Khanh learned many simple things from Uncle Ho.

The contest is annually organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. This activity aims to concretize the contents of Directive 05-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee on promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and life style extensively and creatively.

In addition to the individual third prize, this year, Nghe An Department of Education and Training is one of 10 departments of education and training across the country to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training due to the rate of students participating the contest./.
