A ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the monument "Uncle Ho with border soldiers" was held on May 15.
The construction of the monument started in early April on an area of 50 square meters, using a capital of nearly VND100 million.
Standing over 4 meters high and nearly 1 meter wide, the monument portrays the image of Uncle Ho thoughtfully instructing border soldiers to be determined to maintain national sovereignty.
The project has profound traditional educational significance, and is a place for officers of Ban Giang Border Guard Station and people in the area to report outstanding achievements in their work to Uncle Ho, remind each officer and soldier to be united and determined to overcome all difficulties to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and national border security, maintain political and social security, and build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
The monument "Uncle Ho with border guards" built at Ban Giang Border Guard Station is the first project built at the station level. In the coming time, other units will continue to mobilize resources to build more works with traditional educational values, contributing to creating a green - clean - beautiful, orderly and formal landscape./.
