The inauguration ceremony of Uncle Ho Monument is planned to take place in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang province, with the attendance of about 1,500 delegates. On this occasion, the central square of the city will be named Ho Chi Minh Square.

On May 14, Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Luu Trung chaired a meeting to check the preparations for the inauguration of Uncle Ho Monument in Phu Quoc City.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province emphasized that the Uncle Ho Monument is a work of historical significance and a cultural feature of the era, expressing the affection of the people of Kien Giang province for Uncle Ho.
He asked for a solemn, thoughtful, safe and economical inauguration ceremony, in order to express people’s affection, responsibility, love and gratitude for Uncle Ho's feelings for the South; and the profound political and cultural significance of the project./.
