The "President Ho Chi Minh with Border Guard Soldiers" Monument is constructed from solid cast stone, with a gray finish. The monument stands 1.82 meters tall, 0.83 meters wide, and 1.15 meters long. Its pedestal measures 1.76 meters wide, 1.75 meters long, and 1.83 meters tall, made of reinforced concrete. The pedestal and steps are clad in black Indian granite. The surrounding platform is paved with non-slip tiles, and a fountain combined with a lotus flower pond is located in front of the monument. The entire area of the monument covers nearly 200 square meters.

In addition to the monument, the station built a sports complex spanning over 400 square meters. After nearly a month of construction, the "President Ho Chi Minh with Border Guard Soldiers" Monument is now complete, while over 60% of the sports complex, including a Pickleball court, has been finished and is operational.

The total cost of the two projects exceeds VND700 million, with more than 300 labor days contributed by officers and soldiers from the unit.

The monument is modeled after the artwork Nghe Loi Non Nuoc ("Listening to the Voice of the Homeland") by Vu Trong Khoi, portraying President Ho Chi Minh compassionately advising border guard soldiers to remain steadfast in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, emphasized the profound political and humanitarian significance of the "President Ho Chi Minh with Border Guard Soldiers" Monument. The structure reflects the respect and admiration of the Border Guard officers and soldiers for President Ho Chi Minh. It also serves as a cultural and historical venue for traditional education, cultural exchanges, and activities for officers, soldiers, and residents in the Can Thanh Border Guard Station area./.
