A ceremony has been held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to Thang Loi Cooperative, Vinh Quang commune (now Dao Xa commune) in the northern province of Phu Tho.

At the anniversary, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung affirmed the feelings, thoughts and wishes of President Ho Chi Minh for the Party Committee and people of Thanh Thuy district in particular and the ancestral land in general as an invaluable spiritual asset, always reminding and empowering each cadre, party member, and person to strive, train, and creatively apply the cause of building and protecting the homeland and the country.
Aiming to effectively realize his wishes; officials, party members and people of the province continue to promote cultural and revolutionary traditions; promote emulation movements; maximize resources for comprehensive development of industry, agriculture and services; illuminates the will, aspirations, and humane spirit of people of the ancestral land.
60 years ago, on January 26, 1964, the Party Committee and people of Vinh Quang commune were honored to welcome Uncle Ho. Speaking to the people at Dao Xa Communal House, Uncle Ho praised the cadres, party members, and young people, especially the women of Vinh Quang commune as well as Thang Loi Cooperative, who knew how to choose the path to get rich by planting trees and improving the bare hills, and bringing endless wealth.
Taking into account the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, over the past 60 years, the Party Committee and people of Vinh Quang commune (now Dao Xa commune) in particular and Thanh Thuy district in general have always well implemented the “Tree-planting Tet festival for the Southern region", “Tree-planting Tet festival follows Uncle Ho's words” and now “Tree-planting Tet festival in eternal gratefulness to Uncle Ho".
Along with promoting afforestation, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Thuy district have promoted the local glorious tradition to effectively implement the set political goals and tasks.
