On July 7, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, along with a delegation, paid tribute at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang province).

In a solemn atmosphere, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegates laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a moment of silence to express their infinite gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
The delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, observing a moment of silence to remember his immense contributions. President Ho Chi Minh is remembered as the great leader of the Party and the people, the illustrious teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, a national liberation hero, an eminent cultural celebrity, and an exemplary international communist soldier who dedicated his life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style are invaluable assets to the entire Party, army and people, and remain a source of great pride and inspiration for generations of Vietnamese today and in the future. His legacy continues to illuminate the path for the Vietnamese revolution, guiding the Party and the nation to achieve great victories in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Phu Quoc City was inaugurated on May 19. The statue stands 20.7 meters tall, with a relief sculpture behind it that features significant landscapes and historical sites from the 17th parallel southward. It highlights landmarks tied to Kien Giang and other locations affirming Vietnam's maritime sovereignty from Sa Vi Cape (Quang Ninh province) to the Tho Chu Archipelago (Kien Giang province)./.
