This is one of the important activities, towards the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), 80 years of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

Speaking at the event, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, said that deeply imbued with the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh and being exemplary and taking the lead in implementing the policies and viewpoints of the Party, the State, and the Government's programs, the Ministry of Public Security held the launching ceremony of "Tree Planting Festival - For a Green Vietnam" in 2025 at the headquarters of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police on February 8. At the same time, the ministry also launched tree planting at all Public Security units and localities to strive to achieve the highest goal in implementing the Project "Planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021-2025" by the Government.

The Minister emphasized that the construction work of the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security is not only a key project, but also one of the pioneering projects of modernizing the People's Public Security Force. The project started construction in January 2024 with the goal of completion and putting into use to serve the activities marking the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces.

The Ministry of Public Security has coordinated with Hanoi city to arrange the appropriate types and quantities of trees to plant along both sides of the streets that are the project's belt. After being planted simultaneously, the rows of trees will create a highlight in the overall architecture and landscape of the capital, creating a green, clean, beautiful, safe environment, synchronized with the system of modern equipment, optimizing the use of functions.

In response to the tree planting and afforestation movement, the Minister also requested the Department of Construction and Barrack Management (Ministry of Public Security) - the project investor to plant trees on the streets and coordinate with the Hanoi Green Tree Park Co. Ltd. to take care of the planted trees to ensure them develop well and stably.

In addition, the police of units and localities continues to thoroughly grasp and actively organize tree planting at their units, localities, and assigned land locations for management and use./.
